Civil lawsuit accuses BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff of sexual assault
BYU QB Jake Retzlaff has been accused of sexual assault. A woman out of Salt Lake City has filed a civil suit alleging that he had sexually assaulted her back in 2023 after hanging out at his apartment. It’s alleged they were kissing, Jake got mad when he attempted to take things further, but she wasn’t interested. And it went from there.
She is also said to be connected to the Provo police, who she went to after the alleged event. But, it’s also being said that the officer she went to told her not to pursue this as “sexual assault victims never get justice”.
The woman was seeking damages of an undisclosed amount for “emotional distress, humiliation, embarrassment, mental distress, anxiety and other damages” in an amount “greater than $300K”

This is unfortunate. BYU may lose their starting QB if this happens to be true. I hope its not true, but these days you never know. I will wait until this case plays out before picking any sides. Because one side this could be nothing, and on another side, this could all be true and he could be an awful person. We’ll see what comes of this.

I heard Provo PD denied the claims, or it even happened. But the case is still going. Sounds like Provo PD are holding back evidence or proof. Idk. Seems suspicious how that all played out.

It is said to have happened in 2023, the report was filed back in 2023 as well. It sounds like there was a possible drugging and assault. Doesn’t sound good. There is evidence in the case as well, so it doesn’t look good for him.

Yeah the allegations are bad, if true he might be facing a lot of time. What surprises me is that these allegations came about in 2023, and yet nothing came of it otherwise? Why was this kid ever able to play football to begin with?

And my guess is they are true. I doubt she is lying about any of this. But I assume we’ll know more soon on whether he will see time in jail or something else will come from this.
