College football players could end up being paid with NIL coming in house
This is interesting news to share. It looks like the NIL and is looking to make some changes that will result in the college players being paid. It could require players to play in bowls and CFP games. Do you think this is a good move? Do you like the idea of college football players being paid? It also is being said they expect this to somewhat stop opt-outs or reduce them. More info below.

Bowl Season director Nick Carparelli told @YahooSports in Phoenix that he expects NIL to soon come “in-house” and for athletes to sign binding compensation contracts with schools that will require them to play in bowls and CFP games, eliminating or greatly reducing opt-outs.

So it’s finally happening. I heard the rumors of the NIL wanting to do this for a while now, and it looks like it could end up happing sooner than later.

Good, about time this is moving forward. Players deserve to be paid, especially when college football makes a ton of money from all the players. Without them, they would have nothing, literally.

Good, the NCAA and all these other organizations are getting paid millions, the least they can do is give some to the actual people playing the sport. Without the players, they literally have nothing.

Exactly, they have been pretty much using players all these years and have become a rich company that probably has more than enough money to spread around.

I am okay with players getting paid. They should have been paid for years already.

As they should be. College players deserve compensation for bringing the NCAA money yearly. I bet the NCAA makes close to what the NFL does, or other sports leagues.

It’s going to result in the best players going to the highest paid schools. I’m worried that some schools, including Utah, might not have the funds to get good enough players.

That’s what I am worried about. What does that mean for smaller schools that can’t afford to dish out for the big name or star players? Does that render those schools useless?
