ESPN’s FPI Has Utah On Outside Looking In Of Top-25
Weird how we’ve been ranking super high on pretty much every list, including all of college ball and now ESPN has us completely off their top-25 list for their Football Power Index. They rank the Utes as the 27th best team in college football. Not bad certainly, but much worse than what we’ve been seeing lately from polls and lists.
Do you think it means anything? Or is ESPN just wrong in this case?

I’ll go by what the other sites/lists have said. This is just another list favoring other teams over us. We’ll show these list makers why we belong. Don’t worry.

Boo, should at least be in the 20s or top 15 at least. 27 isn’t bad though, but I feel like we could have ranked much better.

I don’t usually take lists to heart, even if we’re ranking high, because you can’t fully predict what the season ahead will be like. You can try, but it doesn’t mean we’re going to suffer this year. I think we end up proving this list wrong, and even some of the other lists we ranked lower on.
Just let the players do the talking.

Who cares, these rankings don’t matter. It’s nice they rank us high, but in the end all that matters is how well we do in the season.

Out of college teams right? Yeah I don’t agree with that. They are clear frontrunners for the Big 12 and yet they are so far behind on the full on college list? Doesn’t sound right to me.

It’s still not a bad ranking. When the season starts, these rankings wont matter much. Especially if we start to win games.
