Former Utes Eric Weddle & Urban Meyer 2025 College FB Hall of Fame Candidates
The hall of fame induction list has been released for 2025 and it shows both Eric Weddle and Urban Meyer making the 2025 class. The full list of candidates includes 77 players and 9 coaches. It’s going to be hard to make the cut when he is going up against candidates like;
Nick Saban, Tommy Tuberville, Darryl Rodgers, and Jim Carlen among others while Weddle is named alongside DeSean Jackson, Marshawn Lynch, James Laurinaitis, Sean Taylor, and Mike Vick to name a few.

I’m happy for them, they have a real chance of making the final list, but it’s going to be tough with this amount of candidates.

I wish them the best of luck to make it in on the ballot this year. I would hope both of them make the cut. Would be cool.

It’s going to be tough making the finalized ballot, but I can see Meyer making it in the top of the class. Weddle deserves it, but it could end up not going to him this year.

Good for them, they are definitely deserving of such recognition.

How many candidates will it end on? There’s like 70+ people in the running here.

I’m not sure. I can see them dropping it to 10-20. But I don’t know what they usually do every year. It might be more, or less.

I’m not going to bet on Weddle making the cut, but Meyer should easily make the finalized list.
