Linebackers Karene Reid and Lander Barton have been named to the 2024 Butkus Award preseason watch list. They are two of the best linebackers in the nation, and we have them. They are among seven other Big 12 players on the list. The list itself includes up to 51 players nationwide. Will be a tough one to win, but I can see Reid or Barton showing off why they are meant to be in the mix here.

Two of the best going up against each other, going to be wild to see who potentially leads or takes it. I’d like to see both near the top when the season is nearly done and over with.

Good for them, and the season hasn’t even begun. But once it does, I think these two will be good candidates to win it all.

Glad to hear they made the watchlist, they’re both going to have star level seasons I bet.

Proud of them both for being selected. It may be tough to win out of 49 other players, but never say never.

Will be tough for either of them to achieve, but they will get close to winning. I believe they are easily going to have one of their best seasons yet.

I really think these two will step up big time, and I think especially so with Lander Barton.
