Utes guard, Gianna Kneepkens Out Rest of the season
<div>Rough news to share as the Utes guard Gianna Kneepkens was injured during the Utes win against BYU on the 2nd. It’s being said that she has multiple broken bones in her foot and will need surgery, ending her 2023-2024 season. She will be eligible back for next season though. </div>

No. 11 Utah women's basketball junior guard Gianna Kneepkens will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season after suffering an injury to her right foot that will require surgery. Kneepkens will be eligible to get the season back.

Losing her right now is not ideal. This Utes need a woman of her talent. I think the Utes will figure this out though. They have to keep on going.

Big loss for the Utes, hopefully they can find a worthy replacement for the time being.

This sucks, but if any team could still make it, it’d be the Utes. They’ll figure it out.

I think the Utes will survive, even without Kneepkens in there.

I can only imagine how bummed out she has got to feel after getting injured. But, this team will now play with her in mind, and will play even harder in support. I wish her a speedy and easy recovery.

I honestly can see this having a bad affect on this team, resulting in some losses if they can’t figure out a solution until she’s back. If she’s out the year, one of these women will need to step up.

I think it already has, it’s got to have brought down moral a bit, and worry about their future. Will her being out be a problem for the Utes? Or will the Utes figure out a way to still get those wins with the players we have? I think the latter is what is going to happen. They will figure it out.

She was second best on that team after Pili wasn’t she? It’s going to suck not having her out there. I just hope they can handle things without her.

Yeah it’s no fair man, she deserves to be out there with these women, lighting up teams like nothing.

She is one of the best players this team has, so they will miss having her out there.
