Whitt confirms Cam Rising is no longer on the roster, where could he go next?
Coach Whitt has confirmed that Cameron Rising is no longer on the roster. It’s being said that Rising will announce his plans soon on what he plans to do next. His options are limited, he could either apply to a medical hardship waiver to play one more year of college football, or he could declare for the NFL draft.
My guess is he will go to the draft to try his chances for the NFL. Where do you think he will go next?

That was a given. Just curious now if he chooses to play 1 final year of college ball elsewhere or if he finally takes the jump to the NFL. I hope it’s the latter.

I hope he goes to the NFL. But how crazy would it be if he joined one of the Big 12 teams. I hope that doesn’t happen, but it’s a possibility.

To the NFL is where I’d like to see him go. But I have my doubts. I could see him trying his hand at one more season.

I could have told ya that. I think we all knew he wasn’t going to be back, and I figure he will finally go to the NFL. I don’t get why he’d try to play in college one more year. I think it’s time to go to the NFL.

Go to the NFL dude, no point in playing one year, when you could invest that time into an NFL career finally.

I think he should go to the NFL too. I don’t know if there is a logical reason to stay another year. Maybe there’s some sweet NIL money in it for him, but I think it would be the best time to get situated in the NFL, because we all know that’s where his career will end up.

I think everyone knew he wasn’t on the depth chart, he made that obvious when he said he wasn’t coming back.
As for where Cam could go. I wouldn’t mind him coming back to college football for one more year, but I don’t think it’s worth it, when he is already aging out of college, and should be putting his stamp on the NFL soon. He isn’t getting any younger and his prime could be in the NFL for all we know.

Hasn’t this been confirmed like at the end of the last season?

My hope is to see him back, but more in a manager role. Maybe a QBs coach or something like that. But I imagine he will either try for another year elsewhere or he will find his way to the NFL draft.

Good, now maybe we’ll be done bringing up Cam Rising every other day like we used to. I wish him the best in whatever he does next though.
